Therapeutic Recreation
Therapeutic Recreation programs are available to any child/youth with a special need living in Durham Region. Programs are designed and facilitated by our recreation staff. All activities provide the opportunity for participants to learn new skills, meet new friends and enhance self-esteem and personal growth.
Grandview's Therapeutic Recreation programs focus on physical, creative and social activities and are offered during the day, after school and on weekends, depending on the type of program. Participation in therapeutic recreation activities and leisure education will help children and youth to enjoy their leisure activities, function with the least amount of assistance and participate as fully as possible in their community. We also offer seasonal Family Recreation opportunities at various times throughout the year.
Registration is necessary and a nominal fee applies in most cases.
