“Grandview Changes Lives” – Andrew’s Story 

Andrew was born 14 weeks too soon, and doctors thought he would never walk, talk or feed himself. Today, about 6 year’s later, this carefree, cheerful young boy can use a walker, is eating without assistance and is quite the talker! Considering the setbacks and the unpleasant prognosis Andrew faced, these milestones seem like miracles to Andrew’s parents.

This is what Grandview Children’s Centre is all about – changing lives through small victories and major triumphs every day.

Every year Grandview Children’s Centre helps more than 4,300 Durham Region children and youth with special needs and the needs are growing. With over 1,000 kids on our wait list and limited Ontario Government funding, Grandview Children’s Foundation support of the Centre’s services and programs is more critical now then ever before.

The Foundation is determined to play a larger role in helping more children like Andrew and we need your help to provide the vital programs, services and equipment that enable children and youth with special needs to develop their abilities!

Join our Grandview team and help give Grandview Kids the opportunity to dream, learn, succeed and belong.

• Free registration for participants who raise $250 or more in pledges

• Grandview Children’s Centre e-newsletters and race updates

• Automatic charitable tax receipts for donations $20 or more. Online donations receive an automatic tax receipt.

How can you get involved?
• Challenge yourself to walk, run or wheelchair the event to support children and youth with special needs in Durham Region.
• Once you have registered, make sure you sign up on the ARTEZ on-line fundraising page. Your personalized fundraising page is easy to do and you can download a collection form.
• Collect pledges from co-workers, friends, and family. Encourage them to join you!
